New information came to light just as the In-Sync team was in the process of preparing Sheila for euthanasia. They found out that the reason why Sheila wasn’t making any progress was due to a disease called toxoplasmosis which was being further complicated by a Vitamin A deficiency.

Toxoplasmosis is a disease wherein parasites are present in the blood. For members of the feline family such as Sheila, the disease can be deadly. Now that the team finally knew what was wrong with the lioness, they just had to focus on giving her the right medicine.
