The situation blew up, and now certain states, including New York, are going to introduce legislation to ban ‘virginity tests.’ According to Assemblywoman Michaelle C. Solages, a Democrat, it is going to prohibit medical practitioners from performing these exams. If it continued to be practiced, they will face penalties for misconduct.
