Apollo was sentenced to eight years, which was later reduced to seven, this time for fraud and identity theft in that same year. A few months later, he began dating Sherien, and by 2016, the two were engaged to be married. On the day of the engagement, Apollo put on his best prison khakis to pop the question to his fiance.
