Last month, Karl-Anthony Towns, 24, revealed that his mother had contracted Coronavirus and was put in a medically induced coma due to complications.
In a video, Towns expressed his deep sadness of his mother’s condition but took that opportunity to warn others of the seriousness of the virus. He urged people to not take the Covid-19 lightly.
Towns explained that his mother had high fever and she wasn’t getting better.
“She kept getting worse,” he explained in March. “She just wasn’t getting better. She was deteriorating. My mother is the strongest woman I know. I know she’ll beat this. And we’re gonna rejoice when she does.”
