Jenny Curran was Forrest’s lover and wife in the movie. She was Forrest’s childhood friend, a girl he immediately fell in love with. Jenny took a different path from Forrest, eventually getting involved in the infamous drug culture of the 1970s and 1980s.
The two cross paths at different times as they grow up, and Jenny finally settles down in Savannah, Georgia as a waitress. She has a son with Forrest and the two get married, but her character eventually dies in 1982 after developing complications from hinted at but unspecified illness.
