Trumping For Voters
According to some rumors, the movie was released to support an early bid from Donald Trump to gain a position in the elections. This theory was given some credit by the conservative stance that Forrest takes on most issues in the film.
When Trump didn’t run for president during the election, the movie was edited to make it seem like it was telling a story instead. Or so the conspiracy theory goes. When asked about Trump’s chances when the business tycoon did run in 2016, Hanks said he thought Trump would become president when spaceships filled with dinosaurs came to Earth wearing red capes (apparently we should be on the lookout for red-caped space dinosaurs).
