Robert Zemeckis, director of Forrest Gump, has always said that his original cut of the film is the definitive edition of the movie. It included the sound of loose change clinking in Forrest’s pockets while he ran. The version of the film that was released, however, didn’t include the sounds.
The good news is, Paramount Pictures finally released a director’s cut of the movie, so viewers can enjoy the film that truly represents Zemeckis’ artistic vision, sounds and all. The coin jangling sounds were even remastered to perfect the clarity and volume.
