The Good vs. The Bad
When the film was released, it received generally good reviews, although there were some harsh critics too. It received a rating of 72% on Rotten Tomatoes, with several critics saying that while it was overly sentimental, it also had sweetness and charm.
The film is still considered a polarizing movie (you either love it or hate it), despite the accolades it has received. Half of the population considers the movie too melodramatic while the other half thinks the film is as sweet as a box of chocolates.
