Dave Chappelle, one of the actors who was on the list to play the character of Bubba prior to Williamson, joked on The Daily Show that he wasn’t a fan of the film because Forrest Gump, a character meant to be dim-witted, was a better actor than him.
Dave Chapelle is a stand-up comedian, producer, and actor who has received several accolades, including two Grammys and two Emmy awards. He was touted as America’s preeminent comic genius by Esquire in 2006, so don’t let his jokes fool you. The comedian has an IQ of 185, despite his self-deprecating comments.
