A Performance Worthy of An Oscar
While Tom Hanks was no stranger to the Best Actor Award thanks to his film Philadelphia, he got his second one in 1994 for his performance in Forrest Gump. The film also won numerous awards including Best Director, Best Picture, Best Film Editing, Best Visual Effects, and Best Adapted Screenplay.
The movie also received numerous nominations at the Golden Globes, eventually winning three out seven, namely Best Motion Picture for a Drama Film, Best Director for a Motion Picture, and Best Actor for a Motion Picture Drama. The film earned several other accolades too.
