Claudia was believed to have been one of the highest ranking female bosses in Mexico’s Sinaloa cartel. In 2014, a rumor spread on social media that she was a high-ranking leader of the murder squad Los Ántrax, a bloc of enforcers allied to the Sinaloa Cartel.

After their leader José Rodrigo Aréchiga Gamboa (alias “Chino Ántrax”) was arrested, Claudia apparently took his place as of the new leaders. She denied the claims following the rumors and her involvement in organized crime.
