According to LAPD, Pop Smoke whose real name was Bashar Barakah Jackson, posted photos of huge amount of cash and a card that displayed the address of the rental home he was staying in.
This could have caused the crime to take place which in turn increases the number of suspects in the case.

“It’s an angle we’re looking at,” Capt. Tippet said. “It also extends the pool of people that would have known where he was at and could have targeted him for a variety of reasons.”
