Kelly was a radiologist when she met Derek in 2010. The couple met in the same hospital where George Floyd was pronounced dead on May 25, 2020.
It was reported that Derek pressed on Floyd’s neck with his knee for 8 minutes and 46 seconds, during which he cried for help and begged the officer to let go off him. During he final 3 minutes of that time, Floyd became unresponsive after which he was rushed to the hospital.
If convicted, Derek may get 25 years sentence.
