The NBL released a statement saying they won’t be signing former University of Washington wing Nahziah Carter as a Next Star, with the 21-year-old’s potential deal with Melbourne United now off the table: “Since it was launched in 2018, the NBL Next Stars program has attracted considerable interest from emerging players around the world. The NBL can confirm that while Nahziah Carter is one of those who has expressed interest in playing in the league, he has not signed with an NBL club as a Next Star for the coming season.”
