The biopic, that has no release date yet, was first announced in 2014. It took many years for the production team to move things forward and it’s finally happening.
“It’s a definitive yes,” Foxx confirmed during an interview on IG Live. “Look, doing biographies is a tough thing. Sometimes it takes 20 years to get them done. But we officially got the real ball rolling.”
