While the mystery of Josie’s death is still unsolved, Floyd also lost someone else: his uncle, Roger Mayweather. His uncle, who has been his trainer and mentor, died the same week as Josie. The 58-year-old, who was also a professional boxer until 1999, is believed to have been suffering from poor health, including diabetes.
