The incident occurred at Del City High School after the school’s basketball team (Boys) beat Millwood High.
Loud shootings were heard at the gymnasium in a Millwood Falcons Sports live stream after the commentators announced the winning team and carried on with the final procedures.

More than 500 people were present at the game during which a fight ensued between students and gunshots were fired. Officials reported that shots were fired both inside and outside the fieldhouse.
