According to the medical report obtained from the Medical Examiner Office — Bowie had a “well developed fetus,” as she was estimated to be 8 months pregnant and undergoing labor at the time of her death.
The report said that several other health conditions played a role in her death such as respiratory distress and eclampsia. Eclampsia is a condition wherein a pregnant woman develops seizures following a sudden spike in high blood pressure.
