Howard has five children by five women. In 2010, Howard won a defamation judgment against Royce Reed, the mother of his oldest child Braylon because she violated a court order prohibiting her from mentioning Howard in the media.
Police also investigated him in 2014 over the fact that Reed said Howard abused their son. He admitted of hitting Braylon with a belt, but was not charged.
