It’s safe to say that the US ranking third will be quite a surprise to many people. However, in the naval stakes, it seems America is not number one. Despite having an impressive number of 415 marine assets, it just wasn’t enough to defeat the two countries that snatched this list’s second and first place.
The US Navy comes fully equipped with 11 mine warfare vessels, 66 submarines, 65 destroyers, ten frigates, 20 aircraft carriers, and 13 patrol crafts. While that sounds economically hefty, the US caters for it all with a generous $647 billion defense budget. While this is already a shockingly high spend, the next country will surprise you even more.
