During an appearance on the premiere episode of The Jason Lee Show, Cardi B revealed that she went into a dark place as a result of online bullying. Cardi specificalluy felt this way after allegations made by Youtuber Tasha K.
In 2019, Tasha K born Latasha Kebe, claimed that Cardi had tested positive for herpes and had substance-abuse issues. Now, had it been any other Youtuber, it wouldn’t have mattered, but Kebe has more than 1 million subscribers on YT which meant this news spread like wildfire.
Cardi wasn’t going to let this slide and sued Kebe for defamation in 2019. She claimed that the YouTuber had launched a “malicious campaign” against her and became “obsessed” with her.
The WAP rapper won the case in January 2022, with Kebe ordered to pay up $4 million to Cardi in damages and legal fees.
