33-year-old Rihanna was awarded the honor by Prime Minister Mia Mottley during the event of Barbados becoming a republic.
Rihanna attended the historical Barbados event to honor the island’s political and ceremonial ties with the United Kingdom and its status as a new republic during its presidential inauguration ceremony.
The singer flew in to be part of the celebration, as she dressed in a silk, one-shoulder orange dress by Bottega Veneta.
