The German sportswear giant cut ties with the famous rapper, now known as Ye, last year after he made anti-Semitic comments. “adidas does not tolerate antisemitism and any other sort of hate speech. Ye’s recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful and dangerous, and they violate the company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness,” the company said in a press release at the time.
The decision has cost the firm millions in sales and has it facing its first annual loss in more than three decades.
