The ancient Romans were ahead of their times in so many ways which is why it comes as a surprise that they actually used mouse brains to brush their teeth. The mouse brain was mixed with bicarbonate sodium to form a paste, which would allow ease of use.
From urine mouthwash to mouse brain toothpaste, it seems the ancient Romans had quite the penchant for using unconventional means to take care of their teeth. it makes you wonder what exactly they thought was in the heads of those poor mice to make the strange process worthwhile.
