Oral hygiene has been around for centuries longer than you might expect. While they didn’t have toothpaste, and toothbrushes hadn’t been invented yet, people did have herbs on hand for cleaning their teeth.
Among the most commonly used herbs for oral hygiene were rosemary and mint, which are still used in some natural toothpaste preparations today. The only difference is that they burned these herbs first before using them. I wonder how that tasted?
