Finishing Off Those Freckles

Freckles are small, flat spots on the skin, usually light brown or tan in color. These appear when the skin is exposed to the sun, aren’t considered to be harmful, and rarely develop into cancer. In the past though, freckles weren’t considered normal and people tried everything to remove them.

One of the most common freckle “remedies” was sulfur. Sulfur is used to treat different skin conditions including acne, uneven skin color, and patchiness. Unfortunately, it isn’t very effective in removing freckles when applied on the skin. The only viable option is to avoid excessive sun exposure.
