According to Kodak, his drink was spiked by one or more prison guards after which he had an “out of body experience” and it made him feel like he was “possessed” or “dying slowly”.
Kodak also wrote that after feeling helpless due to the effects of the drugs, he went to the CO’s office to get medical attention however, he was denied help.

Shortly after that, while walking back to his cell, he got into a fight with an inmate and the same CO sprayed pepper spray in Kodak’s eyes which temporarily blinded him.
Kodak revealed that as he struggled to get his vision back, he was brutally beaten up by a group of people that he could not see.
