Northern United States
The Northern US States include Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Vermont, and Wisconsin. Historically, the Northern states were divided into four regions: New England, Middle Atlantic, Old Northwest, and the Great Plains. In 1796, George Washington referred to the region as one.
Just as in Game of Thrones, the northern region of the United States is almost always plagued by the freezing winter. The season lasts almost all year round, with locals being able to enjoy the summer for just a couple of days.
