The Brazilian Navy is considered to be the best and most massive maritime force in Latin America, and the second largest in the American continent as a whole (second only to the US Navy).
Earning the 23rd spot out of the 75 strongest navies in the world, the Brazilian Navy boasts four corvettes, five submarines, eight frigates, ten mine warfare vessels, and 34 patrol crafts as part of its force. It receives $29.3 billion as its total defense budget.
